Mike Crane joined LV= with over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Mike has held a number of senior underwriting and management post with major UK insurers including RBS Insurance and CGNU. Prior to joining LV= he was Head of SME Sales and Servicing for NIG.

Jeff HerdmanJeff Herdman

Group Managing Director, Oval Insurance Brokers

Appointed group Managing Director on 8 May 2006, Jeff joined Bland Bankart as Managing Director on 1 June 1999, having formerly worked for Willis as Managing Director of Wales and Regional Managing Director for the Midlands. He has been in the insurance industry for 26 years, having set up his own broking house, which was subsequently acquired by Willis. Jeff played rugby for Swansea, Wales ‘B’ and the Barbarians over a 14-year career and went on to coach Swansea for five years and the Barbarians for a further eight years.

Kevin MillerKevin Miller

Kevin Miller is a Senior Manager with experience in leading international operational improvement and change programmes. He has held senior line roles in Operations, Finance, IT, and Change across both the insurance and banking sectors, including Divisional COO for a leading London market insurer. Recent experience includes re-engineering Underwriting and Claims processes, delivering operational excellence, and working with underwriting teams to improve operational effectiveness. Kevin has 10 years management consultancy experience in both Big 4 and internal consultancies, and has managed large teams both in the UK and internationally. Kevin is a qualified accountant with a BSc in Business Administration

Terry SaundersTerry Saunders

Manager, Small Firms Divison, Financial Services Authority

Terry Saunders began his regulatory career in 1990 with Lautro. After seven years in Supervision and Enforcement, he became Head of Individual Registration at PIA, with responsibility for introducing the new regime. In 2001, he was involved in setting up the FSA Approved Persons Regime and after N2 he managed the team dealing with "non-routine" applications for individual approval. In October 2004 he took a year's career break to pursue interests in classical music and cabaret. Since his return, he has been a manager in the Small Firms and Contact Division, and currently has responsibility for the supervision of small insurance firms, as well as leading a project on the assessment of senior management competence.
